As we come to the end of our first year of trading, we’re looking back at some of the highlights for Strawberry Forge in 2019.
Welcoming Our First Clients
When it comes to launching a business, there’s nothing like the relief you feel when you sign up your first client.
At Strawberry Forge, our first two months of trading were extra special, as we signed up not one but three clients, including a Manchester law firm, property developer and local estate agent.
Hiring Our First Staff
After five months, Strawberry Forge Founders Nick and Tim realised two things – 1) they were sick of looking at each other; and 2) they needed extra help to deliver the workload for a growing number of clients.
So, during the summer, Simon Carter was brought on as Strawberry Forge’s new Content Executive, immediately making an impact by providing a fresh voice during marketing meetings, excellent writing for clients and sharp sense of humour.
Moving Into Our First Office
For the first half of 2019, Strawberry Forge operated out of a coworking booth and the most uncomfortable chairs in existence. So, with a new member of the team and some serious back issues for Nick and Tim, it was time to get our first dedicated office.
We moved into a four-man Spaces office in central Manchester, upgraded from a small laptop screen to large iMacs and printed our name in giant letters on the wall, just like a proper digital marketing agency.
Looking Forward
After a strong first year, Strawberry Forge is keen to keep this momentum growing. In fact, with new client’s already signed up for 2020, plans to hire again soon and a new office in the works, we’re confident that 2020 will be even better.
